Sushant’s family’s lawyer levels massive allegations
Vikas Singh, Sushant’s family’s lawyer said that they suspected the Mumbai police were involved in the destruction of evidence. Sushant Singh Rajput’s family’s lawyer Vikas Singh opposed Rhea Chakraborty’s plea for a protective order in her favour. Further, Vikas Singh said that there can’t be any further delay as evidence was already being tampered with. Bombay HC adjourns PIL seeking CBI probe into Sushant’s death to Friday
The Bombay High Court, on Wednesday, adjourned a PIL seeking to transfer Sushant’s death probe to the CBI to Friday. The Chief Justice of Bombay HC Dipankar Dutta directed the State and Central govt to provide a copy of the petition to the court.

‘Conspiracy against Thackeray family’: Sanjay Raut
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, on Wednesday, claimed that there was a ‘conspiracy against the Thackeray family’ and said that dirty politics was being played over the death probe of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Earlier, Sanjay Raut had said that all the steps taken by the Bihar government are being taken in light of polls in the state. Terming Bihar Police’s investigation as ‘interference’, Raut said that Sushant was just born in Patna, he achieved everything in Maharashtra and hence it makes sense for Mumbai Police to probe his death.

Lashing out at Bihar CM Nitish, Raut while speaking to news agency ANI on Tuesday, asked why are people ‘crooning’ about CBI. “Why they are ranting CBI, CBI, CBI. There are few unsocial elements who want to do politics on this case. And I want to ask who are you? How can you initiate process to recommend CBI probe?” he said on Tuesday.

Sushant’s sister tweets ahead of SC hearing
As the Supreme Court is all set to hear Rhea Chakraborty’s plea seeking the case by Sushant’s father to be transferred from Bihar to Mumbai, the late actor’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has urged people to pray for a ‘positive outcome’ in the top court. The top court had in its previous hearing pulled Maharashtra government for causing inconvenience for Bihar IPS officer who came to Mumbai to investigate the matter. It had also directed the Mumbai Police to submit its findings on Sushant’s case, which they did in a sealed cover. Moreover, Rhea has also filed an affidavit in the top court on Monday alleging ‘media-trial’ and saying that the issue has been ‘blown out of proportion.’

ED Sends Summons To Sushant’s Friend Siddharth Pithani & Ex-business Manager Shruti Modi
On Friday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent a summons to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend Siddharth Pithani and Shruti Modi, former business manager of the actor. While Shruti Modi has been asked to appear before the ED on Friday, Siddharth Pithani has been asked to appear before the agency on August 8. Earlier in the day, the ED had rejected actor Rhea Chakraborty’s request seeking exemption from appearing before the central agency till SC hearing is going on.

SC to hear Rhea’s plea for transfer of Sushant’s death probe from Patna to Mumbai
The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on Wednesday the plea of Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty seeking transfer of an FIR, accusing her of abetting the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, from Patna to Mumbai. Amid an unprecedented tug of war between the police of Bihar and Maharashtra over the right to probe the death of the actor who was found hanging at his Mumbai residence on June 14, the actress has sought transfer of FIR lodged in Patna on the ground of jurisdiction.

The hearing before a bench headed by Justice Hrisheksh Roy would be keenly watched as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday recommended CBI probe to the Centre in the sensational case at the request of Rajput’s father, Krishna Kishore Singh. Maharashtra has been opposed to transferring the probe to CBI.

Rhea, who had once allegedly tweeted to the Union Home Minister seeking CBI probe into the matter, on Tuesday opposed the move through her lawyer Satish Maneshinde by saying that the decision has no legal sanctity. The actress, in her interim pleas filed with the pending transfer petition, said, it is becoming increasingly evident through the widespread media reports that the captioned FIR (at Patna) was successfully filed in Patna only due to intervention of the Chief Minister of Bihar and other local politicians.
