Photography is much more than a science and an art form. It’s a life’s journey, condensed into raw imagery. Every image is unique, in composition and environs. Every person and thing is in motion in its life. The more you explore, the more you learn. The classic subject classes of photography are a fabulous palette.
Faces/people
For example – A human face conveys a vast amount of experience and individuality. This is a “landscape”, but also a person. (Interesting point – People are hardwired to facial recognition. So every face is a story in itself, quite literally.)
Street scenes
This is an environmental scene. Not the background. Every street environment has its own character, its own interpretations. The background tells its own story. You can go from one city block to another and change the context.
Vehicles
A vehicle is a standalone statement. This one becomes the central character in any photo simply by standing there. The combination of colors and textures is best amplified by a good DSLR.
Landscapes
The broad pan landscape can be truly epic in scale even with a large central focal point. This is where science, art, and nature work together to deliver a panorama with classic elements.
