The festival of Deepavali has become famous worldwide. It’s a classic ancient cultural festival, and this year’s Bangkok Deepavali is a great example of Deepavali’s truly dazzling glory. This was a true community event, and a happy meeting of the Thai and Indian cultures.

This was a real community effort. The Deepavali of 2022 also had the strong support of Thai politicians (all dressed in traditional Indian clothes), online media personalities, and community benefactors all showed up in force to enjoy the celebrations.
Some of the VIPs were more than just attendees. Sunil Kothari, well-known Bangkok business person and long-time Bangkok resident, was one of the sponsors of Deepavali. Kothari is a highly accredited philanthropist in Thailand and in India. His participation in the Deepavali celebrations is very much part of his wider community support initiatives.
Kothari is also particularly well-known in both countries for supporting community and business ventures. Deepavali epitomizes his ongoing commitment to building positive initiatives within across communities. He hopes Deepavali will lead to more exciting community and business ventures.

Most importantly – Deepavali was much enjoyed by all. It was a fabulous occasion for all involved.
