Urvashi Rautela, born on February 25, 1994, is an Indian actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder primarily known for her work in Hindi cinema. She rose to prominence by clinching the prestigious title of Miss Diva – Miss Universe India in 2015, subsequently representing India at the Miss Universe pageant of the same year. Commencing her modelling journey at the age of 15, she had earlier secured the crown of Miss Teen India in 2009.
In the realm of acting, Rautela marked her debut in 2013 with the film “Singh Saab the Great,” followed by notable appearances in movies such as “Sanam Re” (2016), “Great Grand Masti” (2016), “Hate Story 4” (2018), and “Pagalpanti” (2019).
Expanding her horizons, she ventured into the Kannada film industry with “Mr. Airavata” in 2014. Her entry into Tamil cinema occurred in 2022 with the movie “The Legend.
Urvashi Rautela was born on February 25, 1994, in Haridwar, into a Garhwali Rajput family to Meera Rautela and Manwar Singh Rautela. Her hometown is Kotdwar.
She received her education at St. Joseph’s Convent School in Kotdwar and later attended Gargi College, Delhi.

Rautela’s journey in the fashion industry commenced at the age of 15 when she earned her breakthrough opportunity at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. She achieved the title of Miss Teen India in 2009 and walked the ramp as a showstopper for prestigious events like Lakme Fashion Week, Amazon Fashion Week, Bombay Fashion Week, and Dubai Fashion Week.
In 2011, she achieved significant milestones by winning Indian Princess 2011, Miss Asian Supermodel 2011, and the title of Miss Tourism Queen of the Year 2011, marking her as the first Indian woman to clinch this pageant. Despite being offered roles in Bollywood films like “Ishaqzaade,” she chose to focus on her journey towards the Miss Universe pageant.
Entry into Bollywood and Beyond (2013–Present)
Urvashi made her Hindi film debut in 2013 with “Singh Saab The Great,” sharing the screen with Sunny Deol. Subsequently, she garnered attention for her appearance in Yo Yo Honey Singh’s international music video album “Love Dose” in 2014.
Venturing into regional cinema, she made her Kannada debut with “Mr. Airavata” in 2014, where her dance sequence received acclaim despite the film’s mixed reviews. Her Hindi films “Sanam Re” and “Great Grand Masti” followed, along with notable music video appearances.
