INCLUDE WOMEN OUT’ (‘Me Horis Gynaikes’), GREECE 1 Hr 31 Mins

Directed by  Vangelis Seitanidis

This is a road-movie, that discusses many subjects, en route- politics, friendship, family, love. Cousteau and Rico are two friends who undertake the road journey, in order to re-connect with a school-beauty Nadia, whom they both had chased in their youth, and who they hear, has joined a convent. This disturbs them and they decide to check it out for themselves.

However, there are many surprises in store for them, good and bad. The journey is also an opportunity for the two friends to discuss their personal angst, as well as the social angst in the country. Rico is a high-ranking civil servant who has a wife and family who love him. But he has a glad eye and is always philandering. Cousteau is a failed businessman who is going through a low phase, and he does not want to connect with his own mother.

How the road-journey, and their deep conversations bring changes in the outlook of these totally diverse friends , is what the film portrays. According to the Director, there is scope for ‘miracles’ too, in the plot, and that happens, at the end of the movie.

myFILM.gr: “The Director uses the up-to-date themes in an incomparable way, taking advantage of the atmosphere of crisis and impasse that ravages Greek society at all levels. “
